Frequently asked questions
Start with an application when you need to define the test scope. Compare products when the DUT, charging role and required interfaces are already clear.
EVCA ComOnly tests EVCC or SECC controllers against a simulated communication partner. Other EVCA configurations add real-pair analysis, mobile testing or the electrical scope needed for a complete system test.
It supplies controlled cell voltages and sensor signals to a real BMS. Engineers can repeat nominal, boundary and configured fault conditions and check the controller response.
Supported interfaces depend on the product, software release and configuration. Define the required commands, measurements, test results and equipment ownership before selecting the integration scope.
Start with MCS testing for megawatt charging or EVCA ComOnly for controller communication. The required interfaces, protocol editions and electrical scope determine the system configuration.
