comemso integrates proven ISO 15118 test libraries into comframe

The proven comemso ISO 15118-4 and ISO 15118-5 test libraries are now available in comframe for AC and DC EVSE communication tests. The in-house implementation builds on the previous CharIN-validated comemso implementation.

A proven foundation, extensively tested

The previous libraries ran on a different software platform but were already developed entirely by comemso. The implementation in comframe was also developed in-house and builds on the previous CharIN-validated comemso implementation. Test cases were run repeatedly on two charging stations using both platforms and the results compared. One station was the exact unit used for the original CharIN validation.

Verify PASS and FAIL detection

comemso also checked every test case against its own charging station simulation in comframe. Correct and faulty communication sequences were deliberately introduced to verify the detection of both passing behaviour (PASS) and deviations from requirements (FAIL).

From configuration to test report

comframe controls the EVCA family of test systems. For these charging-station tests, the system acts as the vehicle and checks the EVSE’s communication behaviour. PICS and PIXIT describe the supported functions and technical test parameters. Test selection, execution and evaluation take place in one environment, with a separate report available for each executed test case.

Upgrade existing EVCA systems

Existing EVCA systems can also be upgraded with comframe and the corresponding libraries. comemso advises customers on suitable configurations. Further test libraries are planned. Press release: 10 September 2026.
