System of the Month February 2026: compact hybrid BMS testing
An automotive OEM uses a compact 24-cell BCS system for hybrid-vehicle BMS development, with temperature simulation and electrical fault insertion.

The configuration
- Hybrid-vehicle BMS development
- 24 cell channels
- NTC/PTC temperature simulation
- Fault Simulation Unit
The development task
The OEM needs repeatable battery-cell and sensor conditions for its hybrid-vehicle BMS. A compact setup keeps the required electrical interfaces close to the development bench.
The system
The configuration combines 24 simulated cells with NTC/PTC temperature simulation and a Fault Simulation Unit. It allows the team to apply cell conditions, sensor values and electrical faults through the selected interfaces.
The engineering use
The team can reproduce the same conditions when comparing software versions and investigating BMS responses. The project is a focused hybrid BMS configuration rather than a full-size traction-battery test rack.
